The Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal has conducted “Mountain Safety Training /Workshop” for trekking guides/porters for two days from 10-11th June, 2010 (Jestha 27 & 28, 2067) at HRA Office, Dhobichaur, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The main objectives of the training program is to create awareness on mountain safety among trekking guides and porters. This training/workshop will help them to face with the altitude related accident and illness while going to mountain region. HRA has been providing this kind of training to guide and porter since last 10 years at the various places like Pokhara, Kathmandu, Rasuwa and Lukla etc.

In the beginning of training program welcoming all the participants, Chairman of HRA Mr. Bikram Neupane highlighted about the importance of the training program and Chief Executive of HRA Mr. Prakash Adhikari shed light on the history of HRA and the various activities which has been doing by HRA since 1973. Total 32 participants took part in this training/workshop. Next day on 38th Anniversary of HRA (Jestha 29, 2067), they were awarded by certificates by Tourism Officiating Secretary Mr. Ranjan Krishna Aryal.
