An Installation Ceremony (handing over and taking over ceremony) was held at Hotel Shangrila on June 21, 2008 (Ashad 7, 2008).

During the ceremony, Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Tulasi Bhatta distributed the certificate to the newly elected office bearers and executive committee members.  Mr. Bikram Neupane took “Oath” in front of Chief Electoral Officer and other office bearer and executive committee members took oath in front of the Chairman Mr. Bikran Neupane.

Mr. Bikram Neupane reelected as a Chairman so he accepted to take the responsibility again by taking the same hammer (symbol of charge). Outgoing Secretary General Mr. Santa Subba highlighted the activities carried out during his tenure and express thanks to everyone who helped him in these period. He handed over the book of minute, registration certificate, Statute of Association to newly elected Secretary General Mr. Kumar Ranabhat.

Outgoing Treasurer Mr. Damber Parajuli handed over the responsibility to the newly elected Treasurer Mr. Prithbi Shrestha by giving cheque book and key of treasury box.

Mr. Bikram Neupane newly elected Chairman of HRA highlighted his forthcoming plans and vision of HRA.

Chief Guest Mr. Lila Mani Poudel, Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation distributed the certificate of appreciation to the outgoing Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members. While speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Mr. Lila Mani Paudel said that HRA has been playing the role of government in the Himalayas to minimize the fatal incidents. He further suggested to the tourism entrepreneurs to take self initiation to minimize fatal incidents by providing safety briefing, insuring insurance coverage and manage proper communication before sending them to Himalayas. He further express commitment if the innovative ideas on these field come to the government, we are always ready to help to prepare proper mechanism in these field .

Chairperson Mr. Tek Chandra Pokharel also briefed out about the history of HRA and its sustainable growth.

Newly elected Vice chairman Mr. D. B. Koirala expressed “Vote of Thanks” to each and everyone who attended this ceremony despite of transportation problem to make this ceremony successful.
