Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA) has organized a program to celebrate 10th Anniversary of establishment of EBC Medical Clinic in a Hotel Yak  & Yeti on 23rd March, 2012. EBC Medical Clinic was started in 2003 which has been regularly conducting until 2012.

Welcoming all the distinguished guests, Mr. Santa Subba, HRA Chairman briefed on HRA history, mission, plan & project focusing on Radio Tourism and use of GPS (Global Positioning System in Rescue and Adventure Activities). The program was inaugurated by lighting on Panas by Mr. Bikram Neupane, IP Chairman HRA.

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of EBC Medical Clinic HRA honored Dr. Luanne Freer for her outstanding contribution to start and to run EBC Medical Clinic. Secretary, at the Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation Dr. Ganesh Raj Joshi presented letter of appreciation to Dr. Luanne Freer and Mr. Lakpa Sherpa. Dr. Joshi presented “Tenzing Hillary Mountaineering Award 2011” to Dr. Freer on behalf of Government of Nepal. The Then Minister for Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma had presented the award to Dr. Freer on the occasion of the International Sagarmatha Day.

Speaking at the function, Dr. Joshi appreciated for the good job of HRA and also assured that the government would continue to extend its support to HRA in the future. Dr. Joshi, also appreciated Dr. Luanne for her contribution.

On the occasion, Medical Director Dr. Buddha Basnyat, IP Chairman Bikram Neupane, Chief Executive Prakash Adhikari highlighted on the various activities of HRA by presenting power point presentation. Dr. Luanne presented power point presentation focusing on activities of  EBC Medical clinic . Dr. Luanne gave special appreciation award to Mr. Prakash Adhikari, Mr. Wongchu Sherpa and Lakpa Sherpa for their excellent support and services.

At the end, delivering vote of thanks to concerned all, Vice Chairman Mr. Narendra Deo Bhatta expressed the gratitude for the coopration and positive support to make this event successful and asked all to continue their support in future too.
